God works in mysterious ways, or so they say. In truth, it isn’t magic it is simply a loving creator. He sees everything, it is us that see in part. He knows our every thought, our every desire as well as our every need. This couple, Dan and Amber, have an amazing love story. It was hand written from the Father above who is the author and perfecter of our faith. Nothing short of what we today would call a miracle.
I am not going to share all the details in this blog, but I will say that God has brought this couple together by His divine nature and it has been an encouragement to others. Many of us as their church family have watched their faith be increased over the last 3 years through trails of physical sickness and emotional turmoil. God is so good to us and often times because of our faithfulness He likes to surprise us. It was like God prepared a surprise party for them and the theme was pure joy.
Amber is very reflective and chooses her words with care but as we conversed I could see a theme emerging from the depths, Salt & Light. They focused they’re wedding on one passage: Psalms 139:17-18. “How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I wake, I am still with You. This radiates a heart of gratitude and because it was their single motivation for the most important day of their new life together, it was a day of peace and light. Giving us all a recognition of the grace and love of a heavenly father.
We are to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth. We are to draw others towards God with all that we say and do. This union was by divine appointment that Dan and Amber might going into all the world and be salt and light, preaching and teaching the good news of Jesus the Christ. I pray a blessing over Dan, Amber and Addison that God will remain the center of their home and that they continue in the ways of truth with peace and joy saturating their hearts and minds continually for all eternity.
Dan and Amber, you are salt and light, and I thank you for providing me a front row seat into a remarkable day in your lives. I loved every part of it, I only wish I could have done more to bless you. Love Your Sister in Christ, Rebecca Anne
