I grew up on Jesus, sweet tea, and strict southern rules neatly packaged by the St. Johns river. A unique landscape of might Live Oaks giving us shade, pink plumes of Mimosas, and scattered Palmettos trying to over take the ancient Cypress trees of our near by swamp. I was constantly eager to be outside running through the forest with my dog and cat, creating something artistic, or for my next adventure at the beach.

The daughter of a nurse and a deputy sheriff, my parents challenged me through their example of helping their community wherever they saw a need greater than their own. They, along with my many siblings inspired me to pursue excellence, personal integrity and to embrace life without fear.

After 24 years on the road I am now officially a retired military wife, and happy to be back in great state of Florida. I found joy, friends and blessings of all kinds everywhere we lived but there really is no place like being with family.

I have studied art, theater, film, and photography for as long as I can remember. I began painting at a very early age and thought at one point that I would be a full time artist for things like medical text books or museums, but I soon discovered there were multiple ways I could share what was in my heart. I gravitated to story telling and it has become an unquenchable passion.

I received my masters degree in cinematography back in 2006 and worked all positions of a camera team for many years in television and documentary film making. I began photography full time in 2011 when I realized that I could have more time with my family and be just as happy.

As the wife of a Navy man this made finding work much easer as we have moved from place to place. I have from time to time worked for local networks doing photography, videography, streaming, and design. So I am well versed in all aspects of visual art, even teaching many students over the last 20 years.

Life by Rebecca Anne is a small business with big vision and it is an honor to become apart of the lives of others as I or anyone who works with me photograph the your important moments. People and their stories are amazing, so events such as weddings, births, family reunions, and alike are some of our favorite things to document.

We are of course available for family sessions, fine art photography, training and commercial work.

The most important part of our work is that we convey a message through our craft. Our desire is to share your story with artistry and grace, showcasing your true value.
