Happy Birthday Navy Supply Corps!
I had the privilege to photograph the 221st birthday ball of the Monterey Peninsula Chapter of the Navy Supply Corps this past week. Despite me being very sick it was so great; what a fun bunch of people! I laughed through most of the images, cried when we remembered the POW’s and danced with my amazing husband. I would like say thank you to all on the board for giving me the opportunity to serve as the photographer at the ball, it was an honor and I hope that I can serve more in the future. I have photographed many weddings but this was very different and I learned a lot about how the military orchestrates events to honor what is sacred and celebrate the fun. Truly a special night to remember our time here in Monterey.
Special thanks go out to Quail Lodge for making us feel at home and honored as we used their gorgeous ball room, to Pocket Full of Posies who made the incredible tree centerpieces and to Paris Bakery for making the most beautiful birthday cake the Supply Corps has ever seen!
There were many fun moments but this blog will just share the highlights. If you wish to access all the images I will be sending out an email to everyone who signed in on the iPad. If you need me to add your email to the list please contact me via text or phone:386-530-9044. Rebecca Grennan
